Veet #OffYourChest campaign encourages male athletes to open up

The Hurricanes have teamed up with hair-removal brand Veet to launch a campaign that encourages male athletes to talk about uncomfortable topics.

It aims to encourage male athletes to normalise and open up about potentially uncomfortable topics, such as mental health, ambition and their careers.

Campaign films will be released as episodes, some of which feature Hurricanes players, Dane Coles, Du’Plesssis Kirifi and Wes Goosen alongside professional morale booster William Waiirua.

At the core of the campaign is mental wellness, a highly examined topic and in particular, male, mental wellbeing.

#OffYourChest discusses how the players themselves manage their mental wellbeing and highlights the importance of speaking openly with family and friends for mental wellness.
