Mascot recruitment underway

The Hurricanes are on the hunt for a new individual to slip into Captain Hurricane's PVC suit.

The gig will involve entertaining the masses at games and open trainings, while off-the-cuff appearances are also required from time-to-time.

Hurricanes mascot recruitment instigator, Hannah Fleming, said the club had high hopes and expectations for this search.

"While former Captain, Nathan Lewer's, skill-set and nice guy nature will be extremely hard to replace, the whole club have faith there is someone out there who is meant for this suit.

"It really is the chance of a lifetime for a special individual out there."

Not only will the individual be required to report for duty as Captain Hurricane, but also transform into animal status as Leo the Lion when the ITM Cup starts next month.

The first step of the recruitment process is to fill out this form. Entries must be in by 10am Wednesday July 15.

From there, we will select 10 lucky candidates to audition in front of three judges. You will be notified of your progression onto this stage via email or phone by Friday July 17.
