The Hurricanes are seeking an outstanding leader to take on the role of General Manager Rugby. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this senior leadership position offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of one of Super Rugby’s most iconic clubs.
As GM Rugby, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and delivery of world-class performance processes and systems.
- Driving succession planning, high-performance player and staff contracting, and talent identification.
- Supporting player and coach development to ensure the Hurricanes remain at the forefront of rugby excellence.
- Building strong relationships with players, agents, staff, Super Rugby clubs, and Provincial Unions across the Hurricanes region.
- Designing and implementing performance strategies that deliver continuous improvement, on-field success, and long-term sustainability for the Hurricanes programme.
This is a senior management role at the heart of our rugby operations. The successful candidate will combine proven HP leadership skills (10 years+) with a passion for performance, collaboration, and innovation in professional sport.
