The Hurricanes are proud to announce the continuation of one of the club’s longest-standing partnerships, with A1 Embroidery & Screenprint entering their 30th year as a Hurricanes partner in 2026.
For three decades, A1 Embroidery has been far more than a supplier. They have been a huge presence alongside the club and truly define what it means to be part of the Hurricanes whānau.
Di Jameson, Manager of A1 Embroidery & Screenprint, reflects that the strength of the partnership has always come down to people. What began as simply knowing one another grew into working side by side, built on trust, and a shared emphasis in doing things properly.
Di is also quick to acknowledge that the longevity and success of the partnership would not be possible without the A1 Embroidery team, who she describes as her business family. For Di, being able to provide the club with the highest-quality product is a reflection of the people behind the scenes, whose dedication has supported both A1 and the Hurricanes across three decades.
Looking back over three decades, Di says it’s impossible to choose just one standout moment. Two experiences sit particularly close to her heart. The first was the day the Hurricanes won the 2016 championship, a moment she describes as “honestly mind-blowing”. The second came in 2025, when she and her family were invited into the changing sheds following the Reds v Hurricanes match. Being there for the winning chant, she says, is something she will “never ever forget”.
Beyond those moments, it’s the smaller, human connections that have made the partnership so special. Players popping into A1 just to say hello, conversations with coaches over the years, and season launches that created memories well beyond rugby.
Looking ahead, Di is full of excitement for what’s to come. She speaks highly of the environment Clark Laidlaw has built within the squad and says she is very excited to be there when the Hurricanes lift the next Super Rugby trophy! With an exciting 2026 season ahead, the next chapter of the partnership feels as meaningful as ever.
Amy Saunders, Partnerships Manager at the Hurricanes, echoes this by acknowledging Di as someone who is deeply connected to the club, not only as a trusted supplier, but as a genuine fan who is known for her exceptional industry knowledge and professionalism. “Di is a caring, almost motherly figure, who knows the club inside and out and consistently delivers the highest quality service”.
As the Hurricanes and A1 Embroidery & Screenprint move into their 30th year together, the partnership stands as a powerful example of what can be built when shared values, loyalty, and pride in quality come first.
