The Hurricanes are set to head to Porirua for their final pre-season fixture against the Chiefs at Jerry Collins Stadium next month.

Home to numerous Hurricanes past and present, Porirua will host the match at Jerry Collins Stadium, named after the late Hurricanes icon and home of Northern United Rugby Football Club. Kick-off is scheduled for 1pm on Saturday, 7 February.

The fixture will be the last of the Hurricanes’ pre-season schedule before club opens its 2026 Super Rugby Pacific campaign against Moana Pasifika at Sky Stadium on 20 February.

In addition to the match itself, fans will be able to attend an open training session on Thursday, 5 February, as well as a Captain’s Run on Waitangi Day. Jerry Collins Stadium will host both events, with timings to be confirmed in due course.

“Really excited to be able to play at Jerry Collins Stadium here in Porirua. He played a massive role in the club and it’s awesome to be able to repay that in some way,” Hurricanes midfielder and local resident Riley Higgins said.

“It’s special to play in a community like Porirua and we know the fans will be there in full force. We can’t wait to see everyone there and mix and mingle after the game.”

Tickets for the match are on sale here. Doors are open from 11:45am.
