Bio

A real favourite with fans, Thomas 'The Tank' Waldrom had a number of distinguished stints with a variety of teams throughout the world.

A specialist No 8 who could cover all three loose forward positions, Waldrom made his debut for Wellington in 2001 and the Hurricanes in 2004.

With the Hurricanes able to field an All Blacks loose forward trio at the time, Waldrom struggled for starts but still made 30 appearances before he moved to the Crusaders for a season.

He departed New Zealand in 2010 for England where he had an influential time with Leicester and Exeter, helping them to the top of the Premiership.

His last season of rugby was for Wellington in 2018 after returning home.
