Black Ferns selectors have named a 30-strong squad for the upcoming July matches against Black Ferns XV (trial) and Australia (Test), with six members of Poua called up across both teams.

Loose forward Layla Sae and Wing Ayesha Leti-I'iga have both been named in the Black Ferns, with Sam Taylor, Elinor-Plum King, and Keira Su'a Smith all called into the Black Ferns XV squad for the final games on home soil this season.

Iritana Hohaia will play in Black Ferns XV, before returning to LOR Squad to face Australia at Sky Stadium, on the 12th July.

Black Ferns Director of Performance Allan Bunting said selections were based on consistency.

“At this stage of our World Cup journey, internal competition has been intense and selections are getting tougher as our wider squad has put in the work.

For the trial match, it’s a priority to provide as many opportunities for our players to get game time leading up to World Cup selections.”
