Hurricanes Team Named for Battle of the Capitals at Sky Stadium

The Hurricanes are preparing to take on the Brumbies at home this Friday night in Round 10 of the DHL Super Rugby competition, celebrating Culture Round and the many cultures that unify teams and fans across the Pacific region.

As the Hurricanes return refreshed from a ‘bye week’, head coach, Jason Holland, has named his side to take on the Brumbies with a few notable injury returnees.

In the forward pack, Isaia Walker-Leawere returns from injury to partner James Blackwell at lock, with Wellington’s Caleb Delany looking to make impact off the bench, after being ruled out following an injury sustained in round three.

Asafo Aumua retains his starting spot at hooker, and with Dane Coles unavailable for selection, Jacob Devery will look to provide energy off the bench, making his first run of the season.

Peter Umaga-Jensen will partner Jordie Barret in the midfield, whilst Julian Savea looks to make his 150th appearance* for the Hurricanes on the wing.

The Hurricanes will take on the Brumbies this Friday, April 28 at 7:05PM at Sky Stadium. Gates open from 5:30pm. Tickets are available at https://hurricanes.flicket.co.nz/

Fans are encouraged to embrace Culture Round in the stands, through cultural attire, a flag that represents them or by getting involved in the activities taking place at the games.

The Hurricanes versus Brumbies match will celebrate culture round with lei for the fans, a poi making zone, along with cultural performances at half time.

For a limited time, grab 2 x adult bronze seats for just $30*, or 2 x adult silver seats for just $50. This offer is available ONLINE only and will expire Friday, 28 April at 5.30pm when tickets return to full price. Ticket fees apply.
