DHL Super Rugby Pacific’s full potential will be unleashed in 2023 with the announcement of a schedule that will ignite trans-Tasman and Pasifika rivalries like never before.  

An extremely high calibre of rugby will be hosted at Sky Stadium in 2023, with all four Super Rugby Pacific Semi-Finalists from the 2022 season locked in for a trip to the capital. 

The Hurricanes will begin their campaign with a two-week trip across the ditch, taking on the Queensland Reds in Round One, then remaining in Australia to prepare for Round Two during Super Round Melbourne at AAMI Park. The team will play hosts, the Melbourne Rebels, as a Friday night double header kicking off at 10:10pm NZT, in a packed weekend which will see all 12 teams gather for a high-stakes festival of rugby. 

Following the initial stint in Australia, the Hurricanes will make a welcome return home to the capital and line up for back-to-back home matches; first a NZ derby blockbuster against the Blues on Saturday 11 March (kick-off 7:05pm), followed by the NSW Waratahs six days later, Friday 17 March (7:05pm). 

Round 6 will see the Hurricanes return to their grassroots, when they take their Sunday afternoon fixture against the Western Force out to the wider Hurricanes region (venue TBC); an opportunity to reconnect with the regions following pandemic enforced restrictions of the last few seasons. 

The team will then return for back-to-back home fixtures against two 2022 SRP Semi-Finalists; the Chiefs (Saturday 15 April, 7:05pm) and the ACT Brumbies (Friday 28 April, 7:05pm), before returning home a fortnight later for a family friendly afternoon kick-off against Moana Pasifika (Saturday 13 May, 4:35pm).  

The season wraps up with 3 NZ derby games, away to the Chiefs, followed by the Blues before returning home to Sky Stadium prior to the finals, for a final round blockbuster against the Crusaders (Saturday June 3, 7:05pm). 

The regular season will conclude following the Crusaders fixture before Quarterfinals (9-11 June) and Semi-finals (16-18 June) to determine which two teams will play for the Super Rugby Pacific crown on Saturday 24 June.
