Eight Hurricanes have been included in the All Blacks squad to face Ireland, Scotland, England, and Wales during next month's Grand Slam Tour.
Jordie Barrett, Cam Roigard, Billy Proctor, Pasilio Tosi, Ruben Love, Du'Plessis Kirifi, and Peter Lakai have all kept their places in the 36-man squad, while uncapped prop Tevita Mafileo has been named in the full All Blacks squad for the first time.
Mafileo, who has played 57 matches for the Hurricanes since 2020, has previously been involved with the All Blacks as injury cover both in 2023 and during this year's recently-completed Rugby Championship.
This is, however, the first time he has been named as a full All Blacks squad member, with the 27-year-old in line to make his test debut during the Grand Slam Tour.
Elsewhere, Barrett has been retained as an All Blacks vice-captain, while Hurricanes front rowers Tyrel Lomax and Asafo Aumua have been listed as unavailable due to injury.
Facing the four Home Nations in what will be their first Grand Slam Tour in 15 years, the All Blacks will open their season-ending campaign against Ireland at Soldier Field in Chicago on 2 November NZT.
The match will see the two sides clash at the neutral venue for just the second time, nine years after Ireland claimed an historic 40-29 victory over the All Blacks. It was Ireland's first-ever win over New Zealand, coming 111 years after the first match between the two teams.
The All Blacks then head to the United Kingdom, where they will play Scotland at Murrayfield on 9 November and England at Twickenham on 16 November, before closing out their season against Wales at Principality Stadium on 23 November (all NZT).
It will be the 10th Grand Slam Tour in All Blacks history. After failing to complete a Grand Slam in their first five attempts between 1905 and 1973, the All Blacks have secured four consecutive Grand Slams, beating all four Home Nations in 1978, 2005, 2008, and 2010.
“There is a lot of history that has led up to this opportunity for our group, so we will be honouring and taking inspiration from the feats that have come before us,” All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson said.
“The rematch against Ireland at Soldier Field will be a huge occasion, and then facing some of the northern hemisphere's best at their home grounds is a fantastic challenge for us. We are looking forward to this very special tour.”
The All Blacks will assemble for the tour on October 22 ahead of the match against Ireland, which kicks off at 9am Sunday, 2 November.
