12 Hurricanes from the club's men's and women's squads are set to feature for various teams at both international and domestic levels around the world this weekend.

Four Hurricanes will represent the All Blacks, who named their side to face Ireland in the first match of their Grand Slam Tour in Chicago on Sunday morning NZT.

Following their Bledisloe Cup win over the Wallabies in Perth at the start of the month, the All Blacks have retained Hurricanes trio Cam Roigard, Jordie Barrett, and Peter Lakai in their starting lineup, while prop Pasilio Tosi has also kept his place on the bench.

The test at Solider Field - home of the Chicago Bears in the NFL - acts as a rematch of the famous 2016 clash between the All Blacks and Ireland, which saw the Irish claim their first-ever victory over New Zealand at this weekend's venue after 111 years.

It will be the first time Roigard and Lakai have played in the United States (Barrett and Tosi both faced Fiji in San Diego last year), and the first time that Lakai has played Ireland at test level.

Across the Atlantic Ocean, five Hurricanes will feature for two different international sides across back-to-back matches in London earlier in the day.

New recruit Warner Dearns will continue his captaincy of Japan when they face the Springboks at Wembley Stadium, a week after he led the Brave Blossoms in their tightly-contested 19-15 defeat to Australia in Tokyo.

Japan's clash against South Africa follows the All Blacks XV's encounter against the Barbarians at Gtech Community Stadium, home of Premier League club Brentford.

Xavier Numia, Devan Flanders, and Caleb Delany - a late injury call-up to replace Hurricanes teammate Isaia Walker-Leawere - have all been named to start, while young prop Siale Lauaki is expected to make his All Blacks XV debut from the bench.

Back in New Zealand, three Hurricanes Poua players - loose forward Elinor Plum-King, midfielder Rangimarie Sturmey, and outside back Harmony Kautai - will play at this weekend's Ignite 7s at Mount Maunganui.

Returning the national sevens programme, the tournament will run across Saturday and Sunday at Blake Park, with Plum-King, Sturmey, and Kautai to take to the field alongside some of the country's top rising talents in a sevens format.
