Bio
Jason Kawau was a strong midfield player who had plenty of size about him at 1.85m and close to 100kg.
His first taste of Super Rugby came with the Highlanders after he was called into their squad midway through the 2006 season.
He returned to the Dunedin-based club the next season but missed out on a contract the following season. Kawau was then drafted into the Hurricanes in 2009 and made 15 appearances over two seasons before he headed to Japan.
