George Konia

Bio
A member of the original Hurricanes squad in 1996, George Konia was selected after several strong seasons with Manawatu. A powerful centre, Konia could also be a handful on the wing. A New Zealand Maori, Colts and Divisional XV player, Konia was on stand-by for the All Blacks for the 1995 Rugby World Cup. While he was never selected he ended up playing international rugby for Japan.
