Eves brought up his 50th cap for the Hurricanes in 2017 and adds experience and explosiveness to the engine room.
He is widely known for his ball carrying ability, but is a more than capable scrummager and is incredibly durable. Was one of the few Hurricanes to appear in every match in 2017.
Eves also showed his worth through the first half of the 2018 Super Rugby season as the Hurricanes front row stocks were hit by injuries. Unfortunately for Eves he missed the 2018 Super Rugby semifinal against the Crusaders because of an eye injury.
He returned to play an important part to the start of the 2019 season as one of the most experienced members of the forward pack.
