The Hurricanes will head to Te Rauparaha Arena tomorrow for their last public training before Christmas. The team will be training outside the Arena from 2-3.30pm and invite fans along to watch the training and meet the team afterwards.

Hurricanes and Norths flanker, Faifili Levave, was excited to head to Porirua to train with the team. “I’m born and bred in Porirua and I know we have heaps of fans out there so hopefully they can all come along to meet the team. It’s awesome to be out in the community and keeps us motivated to work hard when pre-season training is tough.”

In Porirua there will be giveaways, Captain Hurricane and lots of fun for the kids so a perfect way to start off the school holidays. This will be the Hurricanes last week of a five week training block in their pre-season campaign before returning in the New Year.

With Christmas fast approaching, the team will take a break on Wednesday to head along and visit the children at Wellington Children’s Hospital. The team will partake in gingerbread house making and meet many of the kids there hoping to put a smile on their faces just before Christmas.

To round off the week, the team will finish with the Surf to Peak challenge running from Lyall Bay to Mount Victoria on Thursday. The team will re-group on Monday 9th January to continue their pre-season work before the Investec Super Rugby Competition kicks off in February.
